The successful history of the Josapar group began in 1911, with the arrival of the young Portuguese immigrant Joaquim Oliveira to Pelotas, in the Brazilian State of Rio Grande do Sul. This young man’s pushing spirit gives birth to a company that, in over 80 years of existence, has become solid in the market because of the quality of its products. A leader in the food shield, Josapar produces over 360.000 tons of rice each year, including the rice brand that is number 1 in Brazil, the Tio João rice.
Nowadays, the company is one of the 10 greatest suppliers of the Brazilian retailer network. With units in Pelotas (Rio Grande do Sul), Itaqui (Rio Grande do Sul), Recife (Pernambuco), among others, the Josapar group sets as a priority quality and innovation through investigations and investments in new products, settling the company in the national and international scenery.
Josapar products are in over 80 points of sale all over Brazil and in some of the main international markets, including the Japanese.
The Josapar group has set as a commitment to maintain the excellence in all its products by investing in technology, which is present on all stages of production, stocking and transportation of raw material. Besides the units of production, Josapar maintains a complete infrastructure of “silos”, or units of stocking and drying, to receive the harvest of the producers. There are over five units of rice stocking and drying, located in Pelotas, Itaqui, Alegrete, São Gabriel, Uruguaiana, among other cities.
Besides that, the company counts on distribution units in many Brazilian cities, like Alvorada (Rio Grande do Sul), Brasília (Federal District), Cariacica (Espírito Santo), Salvador (Bahia) and Tatuí (Sao Paulo), so Josapar’s products can get to its clients as quickly as possible.
